Vale - Stretch Goal Twists Uploaded!

Hey there Chosen Ones,
It has been a year since the first books started arriving to backers and now, after a major move and other numerous challenges, the stretch goal rewards have been uploaded to DriveThruRPG! If you check your DriveThru library, you should see the new file in there with all the rest of the Vale downloads.
At this point, I think I can finally declare fulfillment complete! Everyone at this point should have received their PDF downloads and physical books (most of that came to you a year ago.) There are still two people who don't have a physical book, but I can't ship a book if you don't fill out the Backerkit survey and give me your address. :( My psychic powers just aren't what they used to be...
If for whatever reason you still don't have your reward copies (and you think you should), please reach out to me via Kickstarter message. They are about to take away my access to all the backer info for this project, so please act fast if you are missing something!
We had a great showing at Origins this year in the Games on Demand room! And again on Free RPG Day at the Forge Tavern, where I ran SEVEN world creation sessions back to back. It also sounds like my eldest kid's weekly group has decided to play a Vale campaign. (I say kid, but they are all in college...) That's maybe the highest honor I can get, right? When my kids think something I made is worth sharing with their friends. And yeah, I also consider it an honor when you share this game with your friends too!

Vale - November Update (Move is complete!)

Hey there, Chosen Ones!
At long last, our move is complete! The storage pod has been delivered and unloaded, and though we still have boxes of stuff everywhere, I have all the books and shipping materials set up again. This week, I will be shipping out the two orders that completed their Backerkit survey while I was moving.
There are still six backers who need to do that survey and fill out their address. Without that info, I can't ship to you! I will be sending each of these backers a private message on KS to remind them. You can also find your survey here: https://vale-of-the-failed-and-the-fallen.backerkit.com/
Please do your survey! I really want everyone to get their books before the holidays!
In other news, Vale was recently mentioned in an EN World "New in Print" article at https://www.enworld.org/threads/rpg-print-news---vaesen-powered-by-the-apocalypse-d-d-and-more.716044/ This led to a follow-up interview that should be appearing soon! I will post the link when it goes live.

Vale - Shipping Complete! (mostly)

Hey there Chosen Ones!
At this point, shipping is mostly complete! (Over two months early!) And, from the pictures I have seen on social media, books have started arriving in your hands!
As of today, everyone who has filled out their address in the Backerkit survey and paid the shipping charges has a package on the way! (Note: 9 folks haven't filled out their addresses, and 3 folks that did give an address had a card declined for shipping. You have to fix that before I can send you books.)

All packages are tracked! If you didn't get a tracking email, let me know! I will check and make sure it got shipped.

All packages are fully insured! If your package shows up with any damage, please let me know! I will make sure we fix it.

All packages should include bookmarks! I had enough and forgot to track when the cut off was, so you all got them.

All packages should have a packing slip with all of your shipped rewards noted. (Except one, because I accidentally left it outside the box...) If there is anything missing, please let me know and I will make it right.
I will still be shipping out any orders that finalize between now and Friday, July 11th. On Sunday, July 13th USPS shipping costs jump by 51%. If you don't have your Backerkit order in by then, you are going to pay more for shipping.
If you can't find your Backerkit survey, please let me know! I will send you a direct link so you don't miss out.
In addition, we are finishing up the renovations and packing up our house for an impending move. Any orders that have not finalized by July 25th will be boxed up, put in storage, and not shipped out until we move to a new house this fall. You will still get your books (assuming you give me a shipping address), you just won't be getting them early like everyone else!

Vale - Shipping Begins on Monday, June 30th!

Hey there Chosen Ones,
First off, Origins was a blast this year!
I ran two great sessions of Vale (and one of Goblonia 2) and finally got to play in Brindlewood Bay! Also sat on panels with fellow IGDN members and some awesome horror folks, went to dinner twice with friends, and discovered a new restaurant called Gamut Biergarten with excellent food and beautiful stained glass windows.
Now that the convention is behind us, demolition has begun on our kitchen, and I am carving out some space amid all the moving boxes to pack up and ship out the Vale books!
Backerkit Surveys, Addresses, and Shipping Charges

If you are not getting any physical rewards, don't worry about the Backerkit survey! (And I am sorry if they are sending your reminders to do it.)

If you HAVEN'T done your Backerkit survey, please do so ASAP!
Now the fine print: Friends, this summer is barely controlled chaos! We are almost done with the bathroom renovation, the kitchen renovation starts today, and our home goes on the market is less than 30 days. (Plus my elderly dog has agasaca cancer, so that's a whole other time sink.)
Please do your danged address survey and let me send these books to you so they don't get lost in the shuffle. Funnily enough, of the 20 people who haven't filled it out, most are close personal friends. I know it might seem like you are saving me extra stress by not doing your survey now, but it's kinda the opposite.
My goal is to get all the books out next week and the rest will go into storage until after the move. I can't have shipping supplies all over the dining room while prospective buyers are viewing the house. If you are waiting a few days until payday hits - that is fine! But if you wait too long, you will be waiting until August/September, and that's not great for any of us.
Tracking Info: Every package will have tracking info, and you will get an email when yours has shipped. If your book arrives damaged (or doesn't arrive), please let me know ASAP!
